Has a slight oil-base barrier that forms on your skin when you apply it. Very very slightly waxy finish that goes away in couple minutes, keeps skin soft throughout the day. I have combination skin but don't find this too greasy or heavy - i use it for daytime and before makeup, although i need to take the waxy finish off with a puff before. It's pricey but i haven't found anything better so i try to catch it on sale.
